A
Message from the Director, DoDDS Pacific
In Appreciation of DoDDS Pacific Personnel and Community Members
|
We are fast approaching the
end of what has been a milestone year in DoDDS Pacific,
and I believe we can all look back with pride over our many
accomplishments.
This school year has been
one of enormous progress in our effort to attain the goals
of the DoDEA Community Strategic Plan. Our commitment to
students has become an integral element in every school.
Standards-based curriculum and instruction, school improvement,
technology infusion, and performance-based assessments have
all played an important part in our commitment to Goal 1,
Highest Student Achievement. Prudent management of
manpower and materiel resources, ongoing maintenance of
facilities and equipment, and vigilance to ensure our schools
are safe, have been our pledge to Goal 2, Performance
Driven Management Systems. Our initiatives in the area
of Goal 3, Motivated, High Performing Work Force,
have addressed the recruitment of top-notch employees as
well as ongoing professional development and the implementation
of best practices in our offices and our classrooms. We
continue to develop new partnerships within and outside
our military communities and have successfully engaged in
a multimedia communications approach to enhance dialogue
and build trust among our stakeholderselements of
Goal 4, Network of Partnerships Promoting Achievement.
The DoDEA Community Strategic Plan has unquestionably become
our blueprint for action and results, but I sincerely believe
that none of these accomplishments would have been possible
without the extraordinary commitment to excellence exhibited
by our administrators, educators, and students, and without
the unwavering support of our parents, volunteers, and military
partners.
It is with deep pride that
I look back on our year of progress, and with great confidence
that I look ahead to future achievements for DoDDS Pacific.
Thank you all for your hard work, and for your continuing
contributions to our strategic efforts to create quality
learning communities that lead to the future success of
all students.
I hope our DoDDS personnel
enjoy a well-deserved summer break, and I extend my best
wishes to those individuals and families who are transitioning.
For those of you who are returning to DoDDS Pacific next
school year, I look forward to your involvement, and the
new challenges and opportunities that await us in August.
Nancy C. Bresell
Director, DoDDS Pacific
