The Far East Journalism Conference was hosted by Zama High School and held at the New Sanno Hotel in Tokyo, Japan.  All twelve DoDEA Pacific high schools participated. One hundred and twenty students had the opportunity to attend sessions dealing with yearbook layout, photo tips, ethics in journalism, and “writing the hard news.”  Individuals were selected as the best in categories ranging from sports writing to editorial writing to digital photography. The top school yearbooks and newspapers were also recognized with awards.  The event will be hosted by Zama HS again next year.
