Advanced Placement
Summer Reading Assignments

DoDEA offers a wide variety of Advanced Placement (AP) courses for students interested in a curriculum challenge. Students who successfully complete an AP course and score high on the College Board AP examination for that course may earn college credit at a number of universities and colleges.

DoDDS-Pacific/DDESS-Guam high schools have both local and distance learning AP courses available to the students. Interested students and parents should review the school’s offering of local courses and ask about opportunities for taking an AP course via distance learning.

DoDEA recently announced the Distance Learning Advanced Placement Summer Reading Assignments resource that is now available on the DoDEA website. Students looking for opportunities to improve their performance in AP courses and on the College Board AP examination should consider taking advantage of this resource.
